A serious accident in Beauce resulted in at least six serious injuries.
A head-on collision involving a minivan and a 53-foot truck leads to a partial closure of Route 112. The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) indicates that 11 people are involved in the accident, including six seriously injured.
The collision occurred shortly after 4 p.m. according to the SQ. “There were six people, including children, in the minivan and five people in the truck,” spokeswoman Baétrice Dorsainville said at the time. The SQ fears for the lives of several people.
According to our information, the occupants of the minivan were transferred to the Enfant-Jésus Hospital.
Route 112 is closed to traffic between Route 276 and the village of Saint-Frédéric, in Beauce, because a reconstructionist is on site.
For the moment, the SQ cannot advance on the circumstances of the accident.
A reconstructionist has been sent to the scene of the accident.
The truck involved in the accident belongs to the Charlesbourg transport training center, as confirmed by Michel Couture, the director of the establishment. The Center offers training to future truckers.
