123456, the most used password in the country in 2022
Complex and difficult to remember passwords are not necessarily the most secure.
For the third year in a row, the password “123456” is Canadians' favorite, according to cybersecurity firm NordPass' annual report.
This password – which takes less than a second to decipher, according to NordPass – is the second best in the world, behind password . ), which ranks second in the country.

In third position, there is the famous 54321, followed by the not very original 123456789. Guest comes in fifth position, then “qwerty”, the first letters at the top left a keyboard, sixth.
< p class="e-p">We observe the presence of Pokemon in the thirtieth Canadian rank of the most used keys of the last 12 months, a gain of four positions since 2021, in which the same annual ranking placed it thirty-fourth. Naruto, then one hundred and eighty-fourth last year, is now positioned seventy-first.
The cybersecurity firm noticed that sports teams, movie characters, food items, fashion brands, swear words, cars, and video games are dominant themes in passwords. NordPass therefore had fun drawing up the list of the 10 most popular passwords in these categories.
For video games, arma wins the prize, followed by nba. The sims simulation game comes in seventh, and popular titles forza and dota come in ninth and tenth, respectively.
For sports, hockey ranks twelfth on the Canadian list.
1- CHOOSE COMPLEX PASSWORDS
