
38 dogs rescued in Ontario, one arrest

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged an individual with animal cruelty on Monday after 38 dogs were turned over to an agency local animal rescue.
In a statement, the OPP Killaloe Detachment says officers attended a home in Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan Township on March 7 , south of Algonquin Park, after a report.
The suspect, in his 40s, was arrested and charged with animal cruelty and mistreatment causing injury. She was released on conditions and is due in court on May 10.
Riverview Rescues Animal Shelter took care of all 38 dogs.
