As expected, the staff of the French XV has revealed its group of 42 players who will prepare for the match against Wales on Friday, January 31 (9:10 p.m.) at the Stade de France.

Two major surprises, the presence of Rabah Slimani and Noah Néné. The 35-year-old pillar, recruited by Leinster last summer, is making his return, more than five years after his last selection and the 2019 World Cup. With the Irish province, Slimani has been selected ten times in all competitions (for six starts).

Néné is one of the revelations of the season with Dax. The 20-year-old player, loaned by Stade Français and an international U20, revealed himself to the general public during a derby against Mont-de-Marsan with a 60-meter slalom in the defense.

Ntamack is back

The selection is marked by the returns of Oscar Jegou and Hugo Auradou. The third row from La Rochelle and the second row from Pau, who benefited from a dismissal after a rape case in Argentina last July with the XV of France (the complainant appealed the court decision), have returned to competition for two and three months with their respective clubs.

Finally, Romain Ntamack, absent from the Blues for a year and a half, is in the group.
