A 16-year-old boy was stabbed on Sunday afternoon following an altercation that broke out outside on a boulevard in the Rivière-des-Prairies area of Montreal.

Officers from the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) arrested two individuals in the context of an altercation, around 16 h, on boulevard Rodolphe-Forget near boulevard Perras.
About the same time a call was made to 9-1-1 concerning an injured man not far from the hotel. where the conflict took place. When the police arrived, a 16-year-old young man was found at the scene with major injuries to his upper body, said SPVM spokeswoman Jeanne Drouin.
The victim was transported to a hospital, his state of health is currently unknown to the police authorities.
According to the SPVM, the injured man took refuge in an establishment near the scene of the incident.
The police arrested two suspects who could be linked to this attack. They should be met later by investigators from the Criminal Investigation Department.
