
A 19-year-old snowmobiler dies in Saint-Étienne-des-Grès

A 19-year-old woman died after going off the road on a snowmobile in Saint-Étienne-des-Grès. The victim is Justine Rousseau, from Saint-Cuthbert.
According to the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), the accident occurred on Tuesday, February 21, around 5 p.m. The snowmobiler was then in critical condition. She died on Wednesday.
The hypothesis considered is the lack of experience, indicates the SQ.
The woman was on a curve on trail number 3 near Highway 55 when she veered off the road. She then hit a tree and her helmet split on the impact.
She was alone on her snowmobile. The Sûreté du Québec says the victim was part of a group of three snowmobiles.
