Residents of the Belgian city of Hasselt recently watched an interesting action. The truck crane lifted a sports Porsche 919 Hybrid worth several million euros to the eighth floor of a residential building. This is reported by the Sasa times website.
It turned out that the owner of the Porsche 919 Hybrid ordered the crane. He wanted to place a super-powerful sports prototype on the terrace of his apartment.
The owner of the car is the famous Belgian Porsche dealer Luc Vanderfisten. He not only manages two car dealerships, but is also a passionate fan of German brand cars.
Luke Vanderfisten recently decided to buy a Porsche 919 Hybrid for his collection. This is a purely racing model and its operation on public roads is prohibited, so the Belgian decided to store a rare car on the balcony of his apartment.
In order to raise the car to the eighth floor, it was lightened by 200 kg by removing the hybrid installation . In addition, the carbon fiber body received a special coating that protects it from rain and snow.
Porsche 919 Hybrid is a famous racing model. In 2015-2017, the sports prototype won the WEC championship three times and triumphed at the 24 Hours of Le Mans the same number of times. The car is equipped with a 900-horsepower hybrid unit and develops over 350 km/h.
