A convenience store employee was arrested for theft of $80,000
A 27-year-old man was arrested by the SPS for stealing lottery tickets.
On Wednesday, the Sherbrooke Police Department (SPS) arrested a 27-year-old man who stole $80,000 worth of lottery tickets.
As part of his job, the suspect, who was employed at two convenience stores, stole scratch-off tickets.
In recent months, he has managed to steal tickets and pocket some winning prizes, says SPS spokesman Martin Carrier.
A search took place at the man's home. The latter was questioned by the police and must appear Thursday at the Sherbrooke courthouse.
The investigation is continuing.
