The bird caught the squirrel red-handed.
Why are people so attracted to the forest? It would seem that interesting things can happen among trees. It turns out that there is a separate world in the trees, which you can observe with a sinking heart. Squirrels and birds are the main inhabitants of trees in the forest. Sometimes tense situations arise between them, which turn into real battles, informs Ukr.Media.
Try to imagine what sounds you associate the forest with. Probably among these sounds will be the knocking of a woodpecker. Everyone is used to believe that a woodpecker knocks on the bark of a tree to make a hole through which you can get an insect. Of course, woodpeckers knock for this, but there is another interesting reason for this knocking. These thrifty birds found a way to store acorns. The video below explains what this method is based on.
A woodpecker chooses one tree in the forest that he likes the most. Trees with soft bark are best for storing acorns. Where do these birds hide their supplies? The woodpecker carves a large number of small notches in the tree, the size of which is ideal for acorns. After that, each hole is plugged with an acorn, which is firmly driven into the bark with the woodpecker's hard beak.
This peculiar knocking attracts not only people who came for a walk in the forest, but also neighbors of birds in the trees. Squirrels do not miss a moment to steal something from birds. As soon as the woodpecker flies away from its tree, a fluffy thief appears in the frame. Thanks to the professional shooting, the impression is created as if the events of a blockbuster are unfolding on the screen. The squirrel quickly grabs the tastiest acorn and eats it right at the scene of the crime. This turned out to be a major mistake, because the woodpecker noticed what was happening and immediately rushed to save his supplies. The bird chases away the impudent squirrel from the acorns, which is not going anywhere at all. However, after the woodpecker threatens to use its sharp beak as a weapon, the owner of the fluffy tail hides in an unknown direction.
