The Swedish Coast Guard notes that the discovery of a new leak is not related to a new accident, but to the fact that they are located close to each other.
The Swedish Coast Guard has discovered another fourth gas leak in the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 pipelines in the Baltic Sea. This is reported by the Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet.
According to her, the confusion with the number of leaks could arise due to the fact that one of them is on the Danish side is quite close to two in the economic zone of Sweden.
Meanwhile, German experts believe that Nord Stream could fail forever. If a lot of sea water gets inside the pipes, this will lead to corrosion, and the gas pipelines will no longer be usable.
In addition, Bloomberg notes that a gas leak in pipelines could provoke a major climate catastrophe. This is due to the fact that there are no containment mechanisms in Nord Stream, because of this, almost all of the gas will soon leak into the sea.
