The assault occurred in a building located on rue Charleroi, near boulevard Sainte-Gertrude.
A man was stabbed following a dispute that erupted at a party in a reception hall in the Montreal-Nord borough.
It was a 911 call shortly before 4 a.m. Saturday morning that alerted police to the assault with a gun that occurred inside the apartment building on rue de Charleroi, near boulevard Sainte-Gertrude.
When the police arrive at the scene, they locate a victim, a man in his 30s. He was conscious and injured in the upper body by a stab wound, said officer Caroline Chèvrefils, spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).

Investigation continues to determine the exact circumstances of the assault.
The scene has been protected for investigators as well as forensic identification technicians so that they can analyze the scene and try to understand the exact circumstances of this event, said the SPVM spokesperson.
No one was arrested and there are no witnesses to this event, according to the x27;Agent Chèvrefils.
The SPVM investigation is continuing.
