A Montreal studio is working on a new Iron Man video game
Montreal studio Motive will offer an original storytelling based on the Iron Man universe.
Electronic Arts (EA) announced on Tuesday that an all-new action-adventure video game starring Iron Man is currently in development at Montreal-based studio Motive.
It's This is a third-person game that can only be played solo.
The team currently working on the title is led by Olivier Proulx, who worked on the flagship gameGuardians of the Galaxy, also produced in collaboration with Marvel.
It is an honor and a privilege to have the opportunity to make a video game based on one of the most emblematic superheroes in entertainment today, said Olivier Proulx. We have a great opportunity to create a new and unique story.
Motive will feature original storytelling that builds on the rich history of Iron Man. Fans will recognize the charisma and genius of Tony Stark and will be able to put themselves in the shoes of the famous superhero.
“We're thrilled to partner with the talented team at Motive Studio to bring their original take on one of Marvel's most important, powerful and beloved characters,” said Vice President and Creative Director of Marvel Games, Bill Rosemann.
His established track record of creating worlds of entertainment and thrilling gameplay, combined with his genuine passion for the armored hero, will fuel our quest to deliver a letter of d love to a legendary character, he added about the Canadian studio.
Motive Studio is also working on the new version of the survival game Dead Space.
Other Marvel-related titles are also in the works, including a game starring Black Panther and Captain America. EA took advantage of its platform to announce the development of several other games in the universe of superheroes and superheroines.
No release date is currently scheduled for the game , which is still in pre-production.
