A monument to Russian President Vladimir Putin, who turns on a gas cock, has been temporarily erected on the International Brigade Square in Prague. The head of the Kremlin is depicted as a goblin, as the Czech edition Ceske Noviny writes.
It is reported that the monument to Putin the goblin will stand on the square for 30 days. It will then be sold at auction. The proceeds from the auction will be used to buy weapons for Ukraine. Earlier in the same place there was a monument to the Soviet Marshal of the USSR Ivan Konev, which was demolished and sent to the museum.
The publication writes that the author of the sculpture is a blacksmith and sculptor Dusan Dostal. According to his plan, the monument should point to the culprit of the rise in energy prices in Europe. Goblin-Putin has his right hand raised, which, as the author assures, hints at his kinship with Adolf Hitler's Nazism. He worked on the statue for 14 days, 20 hours a day.
The material says that the installation of the monument and the auction were organized by a local entrepreneur, Dalibor Dedek, who previously also collected money for Ukraine.
” The statue should send a signal to the Czech Republic that the problem of war in Ukraine still exists and needs to be addressed. The second signal is to the Ukrainians that we are with them,” Dedek said today. He believes that Putin's statue can be auctioned off for a six-figure sum.
We also recall that Zelensky offered Russia to “ensure her safety.” Ukraine is ready to become a guarantor of the security of the Russian Federation and sign a new agreement with it like the Budapest Memorandum, Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Presidential Office, said.
