Astronomers have discovered a new gamma-ray burst, which is one of the most powerful explosions in the universe. This radiation flux, which appeared as a result of the explosion, was named GRB221009A. It was discovered much closer than similar events, at a distance of 2.4 billion years, and the power of the energy ejected into space is 18 teraelectronvolts (TeV). This is considered an absolute record for gamma-ray bursts.

Scientists believe that this powerful radiation stream does not pose a danger to the Earth and at the same time is the brightest gamma-ray burst that astronomers have ever seen.
