
A rescue operation underway in Gaspé
The ongoing rescue operation in the area from Cap-des-Rosiers, in Gaspé, began around 4 p.m. (archives).
The Sûreté du Québec and the Canadian Armed Forces are looking for a fisherman in his sixties years that has been missing since Friday afternoon.
According to the spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), Béatrice Dorsainville, the x27;rescue operation began around 4 p.m. Friday in the Cap-des-Rosiers area of Gaspé.
Still according to the SQ, the man went fishing in the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
Divers, all-terrain vehicles and a helicopter were dispatched to the area to try to find the man.
The search was paused around 3 a.m. Saturday and resumed a few hours later.
