Homemade donuts or good quality donuts are worth their weight in gold compared to those offered by supermarkets. Donuts sold in bulk are often fried in cheaper fat, which may (need not) be replaced less often than we would like.

Deep fried donuts require the highest quality ingredients!

That's why it's worth knowing the recipe for donuts, which we can successfully make in our own kitchen and control both the quality of the ingredients and the freshness and type of fat in which we fry them.


*5 cups of flour,
*1 tablespoon of dry yeast,
*3 tablespoons of sugar,
*0.5 teaspoon of salt,
*3 tablespoons of oil,
*2 cups of warm water,
* powdered sugar.


Sift flour, combine with dry ingredients, gradually add oil and water. Knead a soft dough and set aside in a warm place. The dough should double in volume. When it rises, knead the dough a bit, roll it out with a rolling pin to a thickness of at least 2 cm.

Cut round donuts with a glass, you can (if desired) squeeze a hole in the middle with a small cap. Set the ready donuts in a warm place for 15 minutes to rise. Fry the donuts in hot oil over medium heat until golden. Place ready donuts on a paper towel to drain excess fat.

Sprinkle the donuts generously with powdered sugar or pour over any glaze. You can also sprinkle with candied orange peel. There are many ways to finish the surface of our donuts, which makes it much easier to meet the tastes of household members and guests!
