
A spectacular accident leaves four injured, including one seriously, in Saint-Léonard
The spectacular accident occurred near the intersection of Lacordaire and Lavoisier boulevards, in the Montreal borough of Saint-Léonard.
A collision between two vehicles caused quite a hustle and bustle Thursday, in the northeast of Montreal. In all, four people were taken to hospital, including a young man who is in critical condition.
The accident occurred late in the week. x27;morning in the area of boulevards Lacordaire and Lavoisier, in the borough of Saint-Léonard.
For an unknown reason, the vehicle of a 71-year-old woman collided with another in which there was a 27-year-old man, a 24-year-old woman and a 10-month-old girl, according to the Police Department. of the City of Montreal (SPVM).
They were all transported to the hospital. However, the occupants of the second vehicle seem to have been injured more seriously, according to Urgences-santé. There are particular fears for the life of the 27-year-old man.
Conversely, the septuagenarian who was driving the other vehicle was taken to hospital in non-emergency mode, Urgences-santé reported.
Several transports to the hospital were necessary.
The impact was violent. The two vehicles were heavily damaged, images captured by Radio-Canada show.
An electricity pole was also broken, which caused a breakdown in the area . Some 102 customers are currently without power, according to Hydro-Quebec's website. Electricity should be back by midnight.
The accident caused a failure of current.
