
Abduction of Elnaz Hajtamiri: woman arrested and charged
Elnaz Hajtamiri, 37, was forcibly abducted from a Wasaga Beach home by masked individuals who allegedly posed as police.
Krystal P. Lawrence, female 30-year-old from Brampton was arrested and charged with kidnapping in connection with the disappearance of Elnaz Hajtamiri, according to the Ontario Provincial Police.
In a statement released Friday, investigators say Ms. Lawrence has been conditionally released and is scheduled to appear in court in Collingwood, Ontario, on May 2.
The suspect is accused of participating in the abduction of Elnaz Hajtamiri, 37, still missing after she was abducted from an acquaintance's home in Wasaga Beach by three masked men dressed in fake police clothing overnight dated January 12, 2022.
The men reportedly left with Elnaz Hajtamiri in what investigators believe was a white Lexus RX 350 SUV, model year 2016 to 2022.
Police have also issued a warrant for the arrest of Deshawn Davis, a 35-year-old Torontonian, and are also trying to identify a second man who was previously shown in photos released by investigators as people connected to the case.
