Today, a new piece has been added to this complex puzzle: a secret note that could well reopen the case.

Indeed, in a recently published book, Misha Slovenac, a close friend of Stevan Markovic, has brought to light new disturbing elements that could indicate Alain Delon's involvement in this case. It is through a simple note, kept secret, that these elements have resurfaced. Between compromising photos, secret meetings or even blackmail, all the elements are gathered to make this case a story worthy of a crime novel.

Compromising photos at the heart of the case

&According to Misha Slovenac, Stevan Markovic had compromising photos of Alain Delon. Shots taken in a brothel frequented by personalities from the entertainment world, but also from the underworld. And clearly, these photographs revealed the French actor in some very intimate situations with other men and that the bodyguard could have used to blackmail his boss. A situation which would have pushed Alain Delon to eliminate his bodyguard.

If confirmed, these revelations could confirm certain suspicions that already weighed on the actor at the time of the events. Indeed, at the time of Stevan Markovic's death, investigators had managed to establish a link between his murder and an attempt at blackmail. But due to lack of evidence, the case had reached an impasse.

Many gray areas

It was the journalist Hervé Gattegno who recently revealed the famous note. This one was supposedly written in 1970 by Commissioner Samson after out-of-procedure exchanges he allegedly had with the famous Misha Slovenac while the latter was imprisoned in the Santé prison. Furthermore, during these interviews, Slovenac explained that Markovic had a meeting with a certain François Marcantoni, a Corsican gangster and close friend of Alain Delon, on the day of his death.

François Marcantoni had even been charged with “complicity in murder“ before benefiting from a dismissal pronounced in 1976. However, the Markovic murder case still contains many gray areas. In particular the reasons why Commissioner Samson had spoken unofficially with Slovenac and the reasons for the secrecy surrounding the famous note.
