Russia is artificially delaying the inspection of ships in the Bosphorus, the line has already exceeded 170 ships. This was reported in the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine.

Ukrainian ports due to the actions of Russian invaders are forced to operate only at 25-30% of their capacity. Ships delivering goods along the “grain corridor” are also delayed.

According to the ministry, on October 24, 6 ships left the ports of Big Odessa with 227,000 tons of agricultural products. The ships will go to countries in Africa, Asia and Europe, including the bulk carrier MBC DAISY, carrying 14,000 tons of wheat for Algeria.

The Kremlin's Hunger Games: Ukraine cannot take out 3 million tons of grain

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine is concerned about the delay in the work of the Black Sea “grain corridor” by Russian inspectors joint focal point in Istanbul.

“There is reason to believe that the delays in checking the vessels of the grain initiative by Russia are politically motivated. Recently, the Russian leadership, without legal grounds, tried to question the operation of the grain corridor, demanding new concessions for Moscow's agreement to continue the grain agreement,” the Ukrainian diplomats emphasized.

Delays with inspections prevented Ukraine from exporting an additional 3 million tons of grain, 10 million people in the world did not receive food due to the political ambitions of the Russian Federation, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry noted.

“We must not allow The Kremlin is holding millions of people hostage to its hunger games,” the ministry said.

The Kremlin is threatening to stop the grain deal in November unless certain demands are met. Moscow talks about the need for fair and honest fulfillment of obligations.

Journalists have previously found out how Russia stole Ukrainian grain worth about $530 million. Some ships with grain remained in Turkey.
