British-American actress Angela Lansbury died at the age of 96 in Los Angeles on Tuesday, October 11th. NBC News reports.
“Lady Angela Lansbury's children are sad to report that their mother died peacefully in her sleep at home in Los Angeles at 1:30 AM tonight, Tuesday, October 11, 2022, total five days before her 97th birthday,” the family said in a statement.
It is noted that the London native has completed her life as one of the most decorated actors in the history of the scene.
Lansbury has received five Tony Awards, most recently in 2009 for Best Actress in a Play for her work in Noël Coward's play Blithe Spirit. She was also nominated three times for an Oscar and 18 times for an Emmy. At the same time, Angela Lansbury repeatedly received the Golden Globe.
