Pavel, the son of Russian businessman and head of the Wagner Group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, uses American and European-made equipment. This was told by the online edition “We Can Explain”.
Journalists studied a photo of Pavel with Komsomolskaya Pravda military correspondent Nadan Friedrichson and found out that the 24-year-old Russian prefers to wear a helmet similar to the American Enhanced Combat Helmet, which is wrapped in a NATO-colored Multicam case to match the color of all ammunition. According to journalists, such a helmet costs up to 100 thousand rubles.
In the photo you can see Mechanix M-Pact tactical shooting gloves, also made in the USA.
The publication identified Pavel's tactical vest as the British DCS Warrior Assault Systems, in the Russian Federation one can be bought for 22 thousand rubles.
Referring to the Gray Zone Telegram channel, journalists report that not only mercenaries of the Wagner Group, but also scouts of the RF Ministry of Defense. For such “enemy” clothes, they can be reprimanded by the command, but this does not stop the Russians.
As footwear, Pavel chose the Slovak tactical boots Lowa Zephyr, the cost of which starts from 26 thousand rubles. Of the domestic Russians, only knee pads “Lynx” (about 3.5 thousand rubles).
In the photo of Pavel from the social network “VKontakte” (now the page of Prigozhin's son has been deleted), he stands near the Canadian sports ATV BRP Maverick worth RUB 2-3 million
Prigozhin's son is (not) fighting in Ukraine
The Russian channel RTVI, referring to Yevgeny Prigozhin himself, wrote that his son Pavel is fighting on the territory of Ukraine.
“Yes, he is participating in the NWO [full-scale war in Ukraine], but I don’t see the need to disclose the details of what tasks he performs. Come to the Donbass, ask him yourself,” the Russian businessman commented in response to a request from the editors.
According to journalists, earlier Prigozhin also reported that his son was drafted into the army at the age of 18, after which he participates “in various military conflicts” as part of the Wagner Group.
Ukrainian politician and blogger Borislav Bereza reacted to this news. He wrote that, according to the information of the Russian Yandex.Food service, Prigozhin Jr. orders himself “dry rations” not for combat positions, but for the elite village of Northern Versailles in Lakhta, St. Petersburg. From which Bereza concludes that the information about Pavel's participation in hostilities in Ukraine is not true.
“If a man in NATO clothes approached the positions of Wagner PMCs, then I think we would send him in a plastic bag for identification,” the businessman commented on the equipment of a well-known Russian official.
Focus also said that Rogozin turned out to be a fan of weapons made in the USA, Austria and Germany. The former curator of the military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation “lit up” in an Austrian Carinthia jacket, body armor from the Turkish company BIKATEX and with an American AR-15 assault rifle.
Politico has named 12 contenders for the Russian dictator. Among them is Yevgeny Prigozhin, but journalists consider the likelihood of such a scenario unlikely.
