American startup Eau de Space gathered more than 40 thousand dollars for the production of perfume that smells like space. About it reports CNN.
Raising funds to create a perfume was launched in June on the platform Кickstarter. The original purpose of Space Eau de team was to collect 1969 dollars – this is the amount needed to start production. Currently it is collected more than 48 thousand dollars.
According to product Manager Eau de Space Matt Richmond, the fragrance was designed by Steve Pearce, a chemist and founder of Omega Ingredients, which has been manufacturing natural flavors, upon request of the National office for Aeronautics and space research (NASA). The authority has concluded with Pierce’s contract in 2008 and had planned to use the resulting scent for training astronauts to the smell of the space was habitual to them. The works took from a specialist for 4 years.
Richmond described this smell as “a mixture of gunpowder, seared steak, raspberries and rum.”
It is noted that the purchase of the perfume will be priced at $ 30. Product delivery will begin in October.
