In the United States, an amateur photographer caught a shocking shot of an eel bursting out of a bird's stomach in the air.
Sam Davis managed to take a unique photo in Delaware, Live Science reports.
The photo shows how the snake eel escaped from the stomach of the heron, which had just swallowed it whole, and how it hangs in the air, head down during the flight of the bird.
The man who managed to take such a unique picture also said that several eagles and a fox also followed the heron, who, perhaps, hoped to take food from the bird. It is noted that Davis took a photo with a telephoto lens at a distance of more than 67 meters and then shared it on Instagram, calling it his favorite shot of all time.
According to biologists , this is a very rare and even surprising phenomenon. And most likely, the heron survived, but the snake eel did not. Davis himself said that he did not know what happened to the bird and the fish, because when he left, the bird continued to fly with an eel hanging from it.
