An unusual six-wheeled pickup truck based on the Porsche 944 coupe was put up for sale in Germany. Its price is $ 188,508 – at the level of the base Bentley Bentayga. Details about the car were told on the Carscoops website.
The pickup is built from parts from various Porsche models. The front end is taken from the 944 S2, which was produced from 1989 to 1991. The headlights are from a 1980 924 Carrera GT.
The construction of the project began in 1995 and was completed in 2021. It is approved for use on public roads and has a mileage of 1200 km.
The body was painted in “Continental Orange”, which was complemented by black graphics. Six 17-inch BBS alloy wheels from a 1995 Porsche 993 Turbo were installed on the car.
The rear of the pickup truck has a 2050 mm long loading area covered with an oak floor. Bespoke body panels feature square, wide fenders over the rear wheel.
The interior is designed for two people. It is made of black leather and orange fabric with contrast stitching.
Atmospheric 3.0 is installed under the hood -liter four-cylinder engine borrowed from the Porsche 968. It produces 240 hp. The motor is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The two rear axles are driven.
