Armed attack on Saint-Joseph: the SPVQ makes two arrests

The two 39-year-old men are currently in custody and will appear in court on Thursday.

The City of Quebec (SPVQ) made two arrests this afternoon in connection with the armed assault and sexual assault that occurred on September 11 on Saint-Joseph Street East.

The Service de police de la Ville de Qu├ębec (SPVQ) made two arrests this afternoon in connection with the armed assault and sexual assault that occurred on September 11 last member on Saint-Joseph Street East.

Investigators from the Domestic Crimes and Sexual Assault Unit of the SPVQ's Major Crimes Module have arrested two men 39 years old.

They are currently detained and will appear at the Quebec City courthouse on Thursday, one for assault with a weapon and aggravated assault and the other for sexual assault.

During the events of September 11, the police had been called to go to 320 Saint-Joseph Street East concerning a man who had been hit in the head with a metal walking cane and the two suspects had fled.

The investigation made it possible to identify and arrest them outside the territory of Quebec City today.

Important witnesses related to the case are also interviewed.
