Armed assaults in Montreal: a suspect was arrested by the SPVM
The SPVM thinks the individual could be linked to other crimes.
The City Police Department de Montréal (SPVM) has arrested a suspect linked to assaults with a weapon that occurred last week.
29-year-old Dushaun Thompson has was apprehended on Saturday around 4 p.m. in the Ville-Marie borough, the SPVM announced on Tuesday.
A federal arrest warrant had been issued against him the day before .
SPVM said Thompson was also associated with stabbings and robberies committed on 20 and 21 February in the boroughs of Ville-Marie and Mercier–Hochelaga-Maisonneuve.
He should appear in the coming days at the Montreal courthouse.
