In 2011, Jeff Baena and Aubrey Plaza met. Ten years later, the two lovebirds announced their engagement on Instagram. “Si fi&amp ;egrave;re of my wonderful husband @jeffbaena who dreams of a new movie that takes us to Italy to do more silly things”,wrote the actress in the caption.

In addition to being soul mates in their private lives, the actors were also very close partners in their careers: “When you're with someone from the same background, they understand what you're going through on a deeper level. Aubrey Plaza Deactivates Instagram Account

But on January 3, Jeff Baena was pronounced dead after being found unconsciousby one of his assistants in his home in Los Angeles. The actor was then 47 years old. Faced with the suicide of her husband, the actress then made a big decision: she deactivated his Instagram account, this Sunday, January 12, 2025. A simple error message is visible: “Sorry, this page is not available”.

A way, no doubt, to be able to grieve in complete serenity&eacute and to no longer be bothered by the thousands of messages she certainly received after her husband's suicide. 

Her upsetting confidences about her marriage

A few years ago, she returned to her marriage with Jeff Baena, whose proposal was made during a very complicated period. “A lot happened during COVID for me. Yes, we got married. It was a beautiful story,”, she said.

“We got a little bored one night. We got married and I'll tell you how: Onehourmarriage.com. It's true, look it up. We were in lockdown. Things got a little crazy, especially at my house,” she specified. “My husband started dyeing his shirts. And when I say dyeing his shirts, I mean 50 shirts a day,” she added. Confidences that have a particular resonance today.
