Pour le premier spectacle de la programmation de la nouvelle salle, la salle était comble et ravie.

In front of a packed house on Friday evening, the mayor of Bagnols Jean-Yves Chapelet, on stage alongside his deputy for culture Michel Cegielski, thanked the people of Bagnols for coming in large numbers to visit the Pyramid during the guided tours, “there were 700 of you” and “for being patient for four years”, the time it took to deconstruct and build the new municipal performance hall. “Thank you for your trust!” he said. “The real challenge is to fill this shell! Already more than 3,000 tickets have been sold, as well as more than 100 culture passes!”

In network with Le Cratère d’Alès and L’Ombrière d’Uzès

The mayor emphasized that the Pyramide works in network with two other Gard performance halls, the Cratère d’Alès and L’Ombrière d’Uzès. Before letting the curtain rise on the first show at the Pyramide, the two elected officials climbed the steps of the hall to congratulate elected official Monique Bayle whoi “has been working on the project for four years”. Addressing the audience, the mayor concluded: “You will be able to say, in twenty years, at the premiere of the Pyramid, I was there!”

And the audience will remember these 90 minutes with Pierre Richard, who, accompanied by a jazzy orchestra, told very funny anecdotes about his life as an actor and the famous artists he rubbed shoulders with: Johnny Hallyday, Gérard Depardieu, Bertrand Blier, Mireille Darc, Jean Carmet… stories that immersed the audience in their memories of youth.
