As is customary, the neighborhood committee of the Alès road presented its wishes in the presence of many elected officials, representing the City, Nîmes metropolis and the Departmental Council. The president, Myriam Ferrand, “ expressed her wishes for health, happiness, success, with more civic-mindedness, respect and tolerance in our daily lives”. Wishes expressed in the past have been granted: “In the neighborhood, we are pleased that the installation of a video surveillance camera in the Espagne neighborhood has become a reality. Another source of satisfaction: that on the space now left free by the demolition of houses acquired under the Barnier fund, 19 trees will be planted. This project, which should see the light of day during the first quarter of 2025, for a budget of €19,800, is supported by the Garrigues Ouest neighborhood council. And, Chantal May, deputy in charge of green spaces, was very quick to put together the file.”
