Batman: Keanu Reeves would like to play the Dark Knight in an older version

In the middle of a promotion for Krypto and the Super-Beasts, an animated DC movie, Keanu Reeves revealed that he wanted to interpret Batman in an older version.

As the release of the upcoming DC movie titled Black Adam, in which Dwayne Johnson plays the super muscular superhero of the comics (no wonder), is fast approaching, the DC universe has not finished reinventing itself. Even if the company, like Marvel, Sony and the others, is still betting on sequels, as evidenced by Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom or Shazam! Fury of the Gods, it's also trying to branch out.

Highly adept at animation, DC is about to reveal his next animated film, Krypto and the Super-Animals, in which Dwayne Johnson, again him, lends his voice to the famous dog of Superman. At his side, we find Kevin Hart as Ace the Bat-Hound, faithful companion of Batman and Robin, John Krasinski as Superman and Keanu Reeves, who lends his voice to Batman.

If he is not the Hollywood actor to have Harnessed to dubbing, Keanu Reeves has already delivered some rather remarkable performances, notably in Toy Story 4, in which he plays Duke Caboom, the stunt man with a pronounced Canadian accent. Slipping into the boots of Gotham's masked hero has inspired the Canadian actor, who recently revealed to Extra magazine his desire to play Batman on the big screen:

“I've always dreamed of playing Batman. Pattinson got the part and he's doing an amazing job. So maybe they'll think of me someday when they need an older Batman. I have a small role in the film [Krypto], a bit like a cameo. Despite that, I am delighted to be part of a project with Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart, and especially, to have had the chance to play Batman.”< /strong>

Used to roles physical appearances in action films since The Matrix but especially recently with the John Wick trilogy, Keanu Reeves could very well interpret a tortured, but very skilled Bruce Wayne, like his John Wick. And since we love to dream, we could even imagine Carrie-Anne Moss alias Trinity as Catwoman. But for the moment, no project around an aging Batman is on the program, especially since Robert Pattinson will be back for The Batman 2.

While we wait to find out, maybe (we hope), in the skin of Batman, so we can hear his voice in< strong>Krypto and the Super-Animals, which the release is scheduled for July 27, 2022, for those who will try the adventure in original version. And for the most cautious who will be satisfied with the VF, you will be able to recognize the voice of Adrien Antoine, who has already lent his voice to the Dark Knight on many occasions, in animated films and video games, but who has also portrayed Superman in many films, including those of Zack Snyder.
