A beneficiary attendant charged with sexually assaulting an elder in an RPA

A beneficiary attendant was accused of sexual assault on an elder residing in a private residence for seniors (RPA) in Victoriaville. Léo Godin, a 67-year-old man from Sainte-Eulalie, appeared at the Victoriaville courthouse on Wednesday.

According to the whistleblowing, the man allegedly assaulted the alleged victim on or around November 27 at the RPA La seigneurie le Victorin, where the accused worked as an attendant, and also in Sainte-Eulalie.

RPA management has confirmed that the man has since been fired, and no longer has any employment relationship with them.

Léo Godin will be back in court on February 27.
