Border controls: the Commission gets a slap on the wrist

The European Court of Auditors has just published a harsh report on the management of the Schengen area. Border controls introduced by Member States in March 2020 have placed the European Commission in a delicate position. This has insufficiently protected the rights of Europeans to move. And coordination measures have been insufficient.
