Boruto : TOP 10 characters we love to hate

Released in 2016, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is the sequel to the Naruto manga, the juggernaut created by Masahi Kishimoto. Following the adventures of the next generation of ninja, the story nonetheless has characters that fans love to hate.

Each new chapter in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is particularly awaited by fans. Monthly, fans find themselves waiting longer than usual to discover the rest of the adventures of Boruto and his friends. Nevertheless, there are characters whose personality fans particularly love to criticize.

It might be confusing, but there's a huge difference between hating a character and loving to hate them. Several main characters from Boruto: Naruto Next Generationshave quite pronounced flaws. For example, Boruto is known for his arrogance, while Cho-Cho Akimichi can't properly determine his priorities. Still, whether it's main characters with behavioral issues, secondary characters manipulating the heroes, or villains who threaten Konoha's Hidden Village, there are certain characters that fans love to hate >. Here are 10 characters fans love to hate!

10. Himawari, the Spoiled Little Girl

At the moment, Himawari, Boruto’s little sister, has a relatively small presence in the story, although we already know that she inherited Hinata’s Byakugan. This situation has also greatly affected Boruto, who found himself jealous of his sister endowed with an extremely powerful justu while he is totally devoid of it. Although Himawari has inherited this dojustu, she doesn’t really put it to good use at the moment as she doesn’t hesitate to use it against her brother when she doesn’t get what she wants< /strong>. On this point, Himawari and Hinata turn out to be extremely similar, sharing a rather surprising character.

Regarding Himawari, fans fall into two categories. Some tend to excuse her various behaviors, explaining that she is still young and has time to mature. Others, on the contrary, find the character of the little girl boring and consider her to be spoiled rotten. However, when we take a step back from the character of Boruto, we could say exactly the same thing.

9. Denki Kaminarimon, the ninja without real ambition

Denki Kaminarimon is a friend of Boruto. The young boy is the son of Ereki Kaminarimon, president of the Kaminarimon Company and a former Konoha shinobi. The businessman is the creator of a collectible card game featuring the most famous and popular ninjas from Naruto. At the start of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, Denki explains to Boruto how much he wants to become a ninja, but that apart from his knowledge of technology, he doesn't know how to do much. The young boy is also about to give up on his dream when Boruto decides to get involved and prove to him that anything is possible.

Denki was lucky that technological advances were integrated into the story of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. This allows him to become a ninja and pave the way for a new type of ninja. Nevertheless, his character was originally unambitious and appeared extremely weak, even whiny, which made fans love to hate him.

8. Inojin Yamanaka, the one who absolutely has to get out of his comfort zone

Inojin is the son of Ino Yamanaka and Sai Yamanaka. Ninja belonging to the new generation of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, the young boy often has trouble managing his priorities. At the beginning of the manga, the young boy was in a complicated situation where he had to choose between the Transposition of Ino and the Web of Ghostly Monsters of Sai. Although Inojin loves the art, it turned out that he was much weaker than his teammates. Moreover, during an art competition, the young boy was beaten by Himawari, which caused him to give up his passion.

On the other hand, Inojin inherited his mother's arrogance and his father's rudeness, which makes him extremely disagreeable with his friends. Fans just love to hate this character because, being unable to put his pride aside, they feel he deserves it, especially since Inojin gives up easily in the face of difficulties.

7 . Shallow Ninja Cho-Cho Akimichi

Aside from her gluttony, Cho-Cho is mostly tipped to be a very superficial person, caring deeply about romance and appearances. She got to the point where her obsession caused her to neglect her ninja obligations. Cho-Cho didn’t have priorities worthy of the ninjas of Konoha, which caused him to regularly question his loyalties. Moreover, when necessary, the young girl was unable to concentrate properly, preferring to focus on the boys and thus putting her team in danger.

For some fans, the character of Cho-Cho, who is really a caricature of the modern teenager, is too superficial, while others feel that her character is reduced to the vanity she displays. Nevertheless, for whatever reason, fans love to hate this character, especially since Cho-Cho hasn’t really proven himself yet.

6. Naruto, the hôkage who can't find time for his family

Naruto was the main character in Naruto and Naruto: Shippuden, but as he got older he lost the advantage he had in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. He fell into disgrace in particular because of his negligence towards his family, being unable to be a good father and a good husband. Also, with Kurama's departure, Naruto lost much of his power.

Indeed, during his fight with Isshiki, Naruto failed to recover, costing him Kurama . This tragedy significantly impacted his chakra level.Despite retaining some powers after the death of the Nine-Tailed Fox Demon, Naruto is no longer the one fans once knew, which then turned against him.

5. Sarada Uchiha is the new Sakura

Much like her mother Sakura, Sarada acts like a “missy know-it-all” and her character has frustrated many fans. But that's not the only problem fans have with her. Indeed, Sarada was not able to unleash the full potential of the Sharingan and fans therefore felt that her character was underutilized. Moreover, Sarada is not at all grateful for the presence of her mother by her side. Her character totally destroyed the sympathy fans had for her the day Sarada started denying she was Sakura’s biological daughter and went on a quest to find out the truth.

Good that Sarada was an Uchiha, she was the weakest character on her team. Fans felt betrayed by this character and started making fun of her because of her arrogance and lack of power.

4. Konohamaru Sarutobi, a ninja like the others

In Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, Konohamaru finds himself being the sensei of Team 7, Boruto's team. He thus took over from Kakashi Hatake, former sensei of the team with the same number. Nevertheless, the young ninja turns out to be much less effective than his elder, in particular due to his lack of versatility.

In the arc Jûgo and the cursed seal, which is considered one of the best early arcs of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, Konohamaru was unable to protect his team. Furthermore, he lost again when they clashed with Ao, and Team 7 found themselves having to fill their gaps more than once. Unlike Kakashi, who was constantly adapting and renewing himself, Konohamaru relies far too heavily on the Rasengan and his strategies are far too predictable. This is what makes fans love to hate this character.

3. Gaara has grown into a disappointing adult

Fans loved the character of Gaara, but everything changed when they discovered his adult version in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. In Naruto, Gaara was famous for his spiky red hair, eyeliner, and the kanji for the word love on his forehead.

Unfortunately, the character switched his freshness against an overly present clumsiness, in addition to a radical change in appearance. It’s in particular this new design which contributes to fueling the hatred of the fans, the latter considering that it is a real failure.

2. Boruto Uzumaki is way too cocky

The character of Naruto was renowned for his optimism and his unfailing altruism. When fans found out about Boruto's character, fans were understandably surprised, even shocked. The young boy turned out to be particularly arrogant and even his closest friends were not immune to his self-centeredness.

Boruto has made a number of mistakes such as cheating on Chunin Exams, ignoring the feelings of his teammates, and ignoring the rules without thinking about the consequences. His behavior has repeatedly proven that he is a spoiled rotten ninja who does not deserve the trust of his teammates. Fans love to hate this character because he is the exact opposite of his dad and is considered a total jerk to his friends.

1. Katasuke Tono, the one who caused a lot of trouble

Katasuke Tono is an inventor directly responsible for many ninja science tools used in Konoha. He is also the one who created the device that Boruto used to cheat during the Chunin Exams. That’s the main reason why fans love to hate Katasuke.

Not only did Katasuke manipulate Boruto into cheating on exams, it’s only his inventions, but he is also responsible for one of the most what the fuck?! when switching from Naruto to Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. Indeed, the addition of ninja scientific tools brought the series closer to science fiction, which was not the case until then.
