This is a case that never ceases to be talked about. A few days ago, the show Sept à Huit revealed a report in which we could discover a woman, named Anne, talking about the scam she was a victim of. The latter was convinced that she was in a relationship with Brad Pitt and this led her to pay a large sum of money: 850,000 euros. A huge scam that ended and left traces for Anne.

In the columns of Entertainment Weekly, a representative of the actor wanted to warn fans before deploring this situation. “It is terrible that scammers are taking advantage of fans' strong connection with celebrities”, he first said, adding that one should always be wary of messages one receives on social media. ”This is an important reminder not to respond to online solicitations, especially from actors who do not have an official presence on social networks,” he concluded.

Brad Pitt: a scam that is making the rounds on social networks

A lot of information about this hoax has been revealed, including the fact that the scammer used images of artificial intelligence. On these, we can see the face of Brad Pitt on the bodies of men in different situations. Each time, the latter is in hospital or in a deplorable state of health. The goal is to convince the victim to send him money as quickly as possible, in order to help him.

As the report indicates, the scammer achieved his ends by sending her poems, love notes and even a marriage proposal. A hoax so big that Internet users immediately said they would never have believed it. For her part, the main person concerned wanted to speak in turn to explain herself. “I'm not crazy or silly like some people claim. I just wanted to help someone, I got fooled, I admit it, and that's why I testified,” she declared.

Brad Pitt: a victim who defends herself

In her testimony, Anne claims that she had many doubts about the veracity of these photos. However, according to her words, helping a person was the goal of her gesture. “I am a sensible woman and if you had been in my place, you would have fallen into the trap. If someone comes and speaks to you kindly, says words that you have never heard from your own husband, well yes, we fall into it”, she affirmed. 

During this speech, Anne specifies that this story cost her a lot. ” I no longer have a roof, my life is a 6 m2 box with a few boxes inside. This is what's left of my life…“, she lamented. Aware that this report has caused her harm, she says she doesn't want to leave it there. As a reminder, this is not the first time that a scammer has pretended to be Brad Pitt. A few months ago, a young woman was already fell into a similar trap.
