The Gard prefecture has been talking about it on its social networks since the morning of Monday, February 3. Agents from the Departmental Directorate for the Protection of Populations (DDPP) inspected the Chabannes bakery, located in Salles-du-Gardon, a town north of Alès, near La Grand-Combe.

During this inspection, they noted very serious breaches of food hygiene and premises maintenance standards. Conditions representing an immediate danger to the health of consumers.

A planned closure

As a result, the prefect ordered the establishment to close. This administrative closure will remain in effect until the operator implements the necessary corrective measures to restore hygiene conditions in accordance with the regulations.
