The weather figure has flown away. This Tuesday, January 28, Catherine Laborde passed away at the age of 73, in her house on the Ile d'Yeu, surrounded by her daughters Gabriele and Pia.

Catherine Laborde suffered from a neurodegenerative disease

The one who presented her first bulletin in 1998 suffered from Lewy body disease. During one of her appearances on the set of C à vous, she had éevokeé what she endured. “It's a funny illness, the illness I suffer from. It goes up and up, like at a fairground. Like a roller coaster. And all of a sudden, plop, it falls, and you find yourself wanting to go up and get rid of the illness“, explained Catherine Laborde.

Françoise Laborde: “She would have loved for us to…”

She continues: “And then, at one point, during the meal, I don't know why, but I had the idea to say three words of a poem. I said: 'but I don't remember who knows who wrote that'. And she answered me, straight away: 'Victor Hugo, the legend of the centuries'. I looked at her and said: 'wow'”.

If Catherine Laborde didn't speak “practically any more”, “she heard everything that was said”. “She was always very touched by the messages of love and tenderness that she received. And when people told her: 'You know, I éve been to such and such a place, they asked me for news of you, how you are and to tell you how much we love you', çit touched her very, very, very much. She liked being loved, that's it. She would have loved us to spend time at talk about her”, she concluded with émotion.
