According to the announcement, childcare will be extended to five instead of two days. In addition, the regulations will no longer limit this possibility only to the child's parent or legal guardian.
Who will be able to take caregiver leave?
< p> Until now, only parents and guardians could apply. Now this right also applies to people who provide support or care to a family member or tenant of the same household, even if there is no relationship between them.
Of course, this applies to cases of medical problems, for example serious injuries, illnesses or accidents.
Unfortunately, it should be taken into account that such leave will be unpaid.
News on the so-called force majeure
Amendments to the Labor Code also apply to the need to take time off work in an unforeseen and emergency situation. Employees will be entitled to 16 such hours or two working days. During this time, 50 percent of the salary will be due.
All holidays, of course, are only valid for those covered by the employment contract.
