Russian concert agencies have begun to include in contracts with artists a clause on the prohibition of political statements from the stage. This is reported by RBC with reference to representatives of two concert agencies and the concert director of several well-known groups. The information was confirmed to the publication by Eduard Ratnikov, the general director of the TCI agency, which arranged performances by Rammstein, Arias, Alice and others. Sergei Babich, director of the Colisium International Music Industry Forum, noted that recently this has been the case for all major events and has a mass character.

So, the journalists got a copy of the agreement of one of the groups, which states that the performer has no right to “disseminate untrue information about the course of the special military operation in Ukraine by any means, including audiovisual.” In addition, musicians are prohibited from using “the state symbols of Ukraine, including confusingly similar to it, as well as other symbols, in order to form incorrect conclusions about the goals and objectives of the Russian Armed Forces on the territory of Ukraine.”

In case of violation of this paragraph, as well as the cancellation of the concert, the performer will be forced to compensate for the costs of organizing the event. In addition, within three days he will have to pay a fine of 500 thousand rubles.

Earlier, during a concert in Ufa, Yuri Shevchuk spoke out against the Russian military special operation in Ukraine: a protocol was drawn up against him to discredit the Russian Armed Forces. Later, a list of unwanted artists also spread on the network, which included many musicians who did not support the policies of the Russian government, including the singer Manizha, the Little Big group and others.
