Dunkerque won on the pitch of Losc who nevertheless led 1-0 then 2-0 in the penalty shootout. In the other matches of the day, Brest did not tremble in Troyes (2-1) and Paris qualified without forcing in Le Mans (2-0).

Very clumsy, Lille sabotaged itself against Dunkerque (1-1, 5 t. a. b. to 4) and stopped in the round of 16 of the Coupe de France on Tuesday in its Stade Pierre-Mauroy.

Losc lost a match that it could only win given its domination, the number of chances obtained, the goal that it finally managed to score thanks to André Gomes (85th), and even the two saves by its goalkeeper Vito Mannone to start the penalty shootout.

Lille sabotages itself all by itself

But despite all these favourable factors, to which was added the current form of the northern club which qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions League and the division gap which separates it from Dunkerque, it was the fourth in Ligue 2 which won.

The Dunkirk team equalised by framing their only shot of the match, by Kay Tejan (90th+6), in a troubling déjà vu, an (almost) exact copy of the previous round of the Lillois, who beat Marseille on penalties after having already conceded the equaliser on the last occasion of the match.

Brest still alive

This time, Vito Mannone's new prowess was not enough. Alexsandro hit his attempt over the top, then Hakon Haraldsson missed the qualifying shot. It was ultimately the opposing goalkeeper, Ewen Jaouen, who was decisive by scoring the winning penalty to conclude his very good match.

In the other round of 16 matches of the evening, Brest secured the essentials in Troyes (L2) by winning 2-1. Ibrahim Salah opened the scoring for the Bretons (49th), but Estac, 12th in Ligue 2, equalized thanks to a shot from Rafiki Saïd deflected with his back in his own half by Brest midfielder Hugo Magnetti (55th). Abdallah Sima gave Eric Roy's men the victory in added time (90+3) by taking a free kick with the outside of his foot.

Paris surgical at Le Mans

Later in the evening, PSG, even with many key players resting, never really trembled against a combative but sterile Le Mans (National) team. The Parisians, 2-0 winners, took advantage of a bad clearance in the center to open the score through Doué (25th).

Barely having come on in the second half, Barcola turned the match around by scoring strongly after a long run down the left (71st).
