Deadly hit and run in Victoriaville: the identity of the known victim

The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) has succeeded in identifying the vehicle linked to the fatal hit-and-run that occurred Saturday morning in Victoriaville. For the moment, there has been no arrest in connection with this tragedy which cost the life of Miguel Fréchette, 23, from Warwick.
Information received from the public on Saturday evening enabled investigators to locate the vehicle, which was wanted, said Sergeant Stéphane Tremblay, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec.

The police were looking for a white Kia Forte car, damaged in the front on the passenger side. The vehicle is said to have been manufactured between 2014 and 2017.
The SQ's Major Crimes Investigation Division has taken up the case.
