Valery LEBOVKA, “FACTS”
Seemingly harmless at first entertainment fishing can result in death for fishermen not only in the winter on the ice, but even in the summer.
One of these sad cases occurred in Volyn region, on the river Turia in Kovelska district — 38-year-old man died from shock, hitting the pole the power line.
This is stated in the message of the company “volynyoblenergo”.
“On a scene immediately left our specialists of the branch. As told to them by eyewitnesses, 38-year-old volynyanin fished near the air 10 kV high-voltage line. The man swung, raised his rod and touched it to the wire. Him on the spot fatally injured current. The ambulance pronounced him dead”, — told in the company.
Thus employees “volynyoblenergo” complained that the Ukrainians often do not know that the distance from the tense wires of high-voltage lines to land within the settlements is 7 meters, and beyond them in tight spaces — 6 m Length fishing rods from 4 to 10 meters. In addition, modern fishing rods are made of carbon fiber which is a conductor of electric current, which can lead to tragedy.
Earlier, the “FACTS” I wrote about the threat to fishing in Indonesia: a 16-year-old boy was attacked Gar fish, also called fish-needle. Sargan is thoroughly pierced with their sharp jaws the neck of the fisherman and the back of the skull. The guy fell out the side of the boat, but managed, luckily, to swim to shore with a fish stuck in his neck. The garðar was the fact that on a high speed jump out of the water. Known at least two incidents with a fatal outcome, when these fish attacked people. One of the victims, ten year old boy, fishing with his father in 1977 in Hawaii, the jaws of the Gar pierced eyes.
