André Spénard died at the age of 72 . The former mayor of Saint-Joseph-de-Beauce between 1996 and 2005, also a member of the Coalition avenir Québec in Beauce-Nord from 2012 to 2018, suffered from cancer.
Former elected official Janvier Grondin met him two weeks ago. He had made all these funeral arrangements, everything was ready, even that he had asked for the injection for the end of life. He knew he didn't there was no chance of remission in his case. It was the fatal outcome , confides Mr. Grondin.
The two politicians rubbed shoulders for twenty years. He was mayor of the municipality of Saint-Joseph, then I was mayor of a small municipality in Saint Jules.
The CAQ candidate elected in Beauce- Nord, Luc Provençal, says he lost a mentor and a friend.
He was a thinking guy, he was a file guy so when I needed a opinion, André was there […] he helped me to orient myself well as does January Grondin.
