Since the announcement of the death of Catherine Laborde by her own sister, Françoise Laborde, tributes have been pouring in to salute the memory of the former weather presenter. Nikos Aliagas, Arthur, Tatiana Silva and Evelyne Dh&eacuteliat have all had a thought for the one who shot her reverence at the age of 73.

For nearly 30 years, Catherine Laborde was one of the faces of the weather on TF1. Her tenderness and sympathy made her one of the most endearing personalities on the small screen. The presenter, who was also an actress and woman of Letters, passed away at her home, on the Isle of Yeu in Vendée, surrounded by her loved ones. Jean-Luc Reichmann, one of his most faithful friends, spoke about this disappearance to our colleagues at Buzz TV.

This Wednesday, January 29, it was the day after the announcement of the death of Catherine Laborde that Jean-Luc Reichmann recalled the memory of the woman he had known for a long time in the corridors of TF1. Catherine éwas a sun and she now on a little cloud. I remember her fragility, her sweetness, her elegance and her incredible generosity. She is a sweetheart. My children were the ones who gave her her wedding rings at the town hall on her wedding day. I keep this magnificent image in my head”, he said, his heart heavy.

And he continued: “Her passing is heartbreaking for me but I think it has hurt &be a liberation for her… She will remain in my memory and in my heart”, added the presenter of 12 Coups de midi.

Death of Catherine Laborde: these touching words from Jean-Luc Reichmann written in 2017…

As soon as Catherine Laborde's death was announced, Jean-Luc Reichmann was one of the first TV hosts to react. Via his Instagram account, he wrote these few words: “Catherine, my Sun… forever in my heart… forever in my life”. And then, in another publication, the star TF1 host chose to republish a message he had written in January 2017, when Catherine Laborde had said her farewells to television. “Dear Catherine. I just learned that you have just bowed out with such elegance that I can't find the words to tell you how much we love you…”

Jean-Luc Reichmann had continued: “I allow myself to put this little word on my Facebook to tell everyone WHERE how beautiful a person you are, full of sensitivity and modesty, full of tenderness and delicacy. No, we will never forget you. &Very quickly! Jluc … For life”. In 2018, Catherine Laborde had announced that she had Lewy body dementia, a pathology close to Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease.
