January 19, 2022, Gaspard Ulliel died as a result of his skiing accident in Savoie. The 37-year-old actor left behind his former partner Gaëlle Pietri and their son, Orso, who was 6 years old at the time of his father's death. A tragedy that continues to haunt the former model. Indeed, she confided in a book, called The Time to say goodbye to you, published by Grasset, in which she evoked her impossible mourning: “When misfortune targets us, we must manage to remember that we have tasted the sweet, the ineffable joy. You will remain my most beautiful journey, embarked on without a guide, with my eyes closed. Your presence and your absence converge in my heart. I now know that I will always be able to find you in me. This is our”, she wrote.
Gaëlle Pietri, inconsolable, had also revealed that Gaspard Ulliel's parents had given their consent for their son's organs to be donated to people in need.
