Doctors note that the use of sunscreen creams that block the sun's harmful rays should become an important part of everyday life throughout the year.
"We must do everything possible to avoid skin cancer. Using a sufficient amount of sunscreen, which blocks harmful UVA and UVB rays, should become a daily habit of our lives throughout the year, not just in sunny weather, – says British trichologist Sam Sinkir.
In the opinion specialist, early detection of skin cancer can significantly increase the chances of its effective treatment. For this reason, it is important to know the non-obvious symptoms that you should pay attention to in the first place.
Early signs of skin cancer include the following signs:
Changing the appearance of birthmarks
They are usually harmless, but can be the site of melanoma development. It is important to regularly check your skin for any changes in moles: asymmetry, color, diameter.
Changes in fingernails and toenails
Skin cancer can affect any part of the body, so it is important to monitor the condition of the nails. Melanomas can appear as dark spots or streaks under the nails, while the surrounding skin darkens.
If on a certain area of the skin does not itch, especially if there are other signs in this place: rash, redness, etc.
Melanomas can also appear in the eyes, causing changes in vision. Ocular melanoma is difficult to detect. Pay attention to the deterioration of vision, the increase in the number of “flies”; and the appearance of discolored patches.
