Waze is not just a GPS. However, to take advantage of radar detection, it is essential to activate a very specific setting. Here's how to do it:

1. Open the app and go to “My Waze”
2. Find the gear icon (settings)
3. Select “Alerts and Reports”
4. Then “Reports”
5. Activate the sliders corresponding to the desired alerts

To optimize your experience, don't forget to configure sound alerts. A small click on the speaker icon at the bottom right of the home screen allows you to choose between “Alerts only” or “Sound on”. A customization that can make all the difference during your journeys.

Play the community game

In all cases, speed camera detection is only useful to avoid the very frequent careless errors on long journeys. The idea is absolutely not to facilitate dangerous driving, quite the contrary.
