Doctors told about the products the use of which allows to reduce the risk of developing type II diabetes. Conclusions are made on the basis of several studies, reports MedicalXpress.
In the first work of specialists from Europe decided to study the relationship between the content of vitamin C and carotenoids in the blood with the risk of diabetes. Participants of the experiment were more 9.7 thousand adults who first encountered the specified condition, and a control group of more than 13 thousand people without diabetes. In the end it turned out that to reduce the risk of developing the disease, if eat every day at 66 grams more vegetables and fruits.
The second study was conducted by scientists from the United States. They examined the relationship between General and individual consumption of whole grain foods and incidence of diabetes. Involved work information about 158 thousand people with no specified disease, cancer and heart problems. By high consumption of whole grains is quite possible to reduce the risk of diabetes by 29%.
