A section of the website of former President Donald Trump was the victim of a computer attack, as a slogan and a speech by the President of Turkey appeared in a section of the portal Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Visitors to Trump’s website on Monday could see a message apparently written by Turkish hackers that read “Do not be like those who forgot Allah, so that Allah would make them forget Himself”, along with a link leading to a speech by Erdogan reciting the Quran.

These types of hacks are known as disfigurement, indicates CNN, and consists of an attack in which a website is accessed and replaced with the hacker’s content. Attacks do not require entry into an organization’s sensitive computer systems.

There is a possibility that the hacker of Donald Trump’s page was the Turkish ‘hacktivist’ group RootAyyildiz, the same man who claimed responsibility for tampering with Joe Biden’s website a few weeks after he was elected.

That attempt was described by US intelligence agencies as one I know the few “Failed attempts by hacktivists to influence or interfere in the 2020 US elections”CNN noted.

The attack staged this Monday occurs in the middle of a series of episodes of computer violations that are promoted to promote political or social objectives.

Episodes like these have occurred on a large scale, like the one on July 15, 2020, when the Twitter accounts of Biden, Barack Obama, Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, Bill Gates, among others, were taken under a message where they asked users to send bitcoins to an address with the intention of “doubling” the amount sent, but it turned out to be a scam and the hacker raised around $ 100,000 dollars.

“I am giving back to the community! All the Bitcoin entered to the following address will be returned duplicates! If you send $ 1,000, I will return you $ 2,000. I will only do it for 30 minutes ”, the hacker wrote from Biden’s account.

After the investigations, the Florida Prosecutor’s Office communicated that the author of these hacks was a 17-year-old adolescent identified as Graham Ivan Clark, who was described as the mastermind behind the incident and pleaded guilty, receiving a three-year sentence in a juvenile jail, followed by three more years of probation.
