Thursday, June 25, in Odessa the driver of the BMW ran into a police patrol (formerly the drunk driver has turned the police car into a pile of scrap metal). The incident occurred on the street farm where police drew attention to the “Boomer”, who openly ignored the rule. According to inspectors, he parked across the road, almost blocking it to other traffic participants.
“The driver of foreign cars was aggressive and was with obvious signs of alcoholic intoxication. To remove the vehicle from the road and to ensure free passage on this stretch of street, called a tow truck”, — told in management of police patrol.
The owner of the BMW got behind the wheel and tried to leave. To prevent emergency, patrol officer blocked his way, but that didn’t stop the intruder.
“The driver has made arrival on the inspector and traveled with him on the hood of over 100 meters. The car stopped only after forced application of an artificial deadlock which has deliberately created the drivers of other cars,” — said in management.
42-year-old driver was arrested and the car towed away. On the violator administrative materials for driving while intoxicated.
Two of the patrol with injuries was taken to the hospital.
Because the actions of the offender seen signs of a criminal offence under article 345 (threat or violence concerning the employee of law enforcement body) the criminal code, into place caused it is investigative-task force of national police. It is already known that the criminal proceedings are opened.
Earlier, a similar case occurred in Lviv: drunk driver trying to escape from militiamen, ran over police officers.
